Miller Comeback

Having come through his first outing unscathed, Willie Miller was again in action a couple of days later when he played the first half of the East Reserve League game against Forfar which ended in a 1-1 draw, Andy Roddie producing Aberdeen's equaliser. Although Teddy Scott was disappointed with some of the more experienced members of the side, he took encouragement from good displays by Stephen McAnespie at right back and Graham Watson in midfield. "Graham has been a bit unfortunate in that circumstances and his own versatility have meant him being used in a number of positions, mainly in defence, and this was, for him, a rare opportunity to play in what is probably his best position in midfield," said Teddy.
Aberdeen reserve sides have, this season, suffered through goals scored against them by former Pittodrie players, Dave Dodds, Steve Cowan and now Peter Weir all coming into this category, but there is now also an increasing number of former Dons turning up in charge of opposing sides. Among those with whom Teddy has had reunions recently are Andy Watson, now reserve team coach with Hibs, and Bobby Glennie and Ian Fleming, manager and assistant manager respectively at Forfar.
