Aberdeen obtained their first victory for the season in their league game with Queen's Park at Pittodrie yesterday afternoon, winning handsomely by 5 goals to 1. The weather was dry but boisterous, and the attendance was about 4000.

Aberdeen got on the attack from the kick-off, and forced an unproductive corner. Queen's turn came, and their offensive resulted in Greig having to save twice in quick succession. After W. Wyllie had shot behind for Aberdeen, A. L. Morton came into the picture with a sprint along the wing, finishing with a well-placed cross, which was picked up by McLauchlan. Aberdeen's left wing made progress, and Archibald had a great try for a goal, the ball striking the crossbar. A. L. Morton again got possession, and leaving Brewster behind him ran well into goal, and scored with a hard drive. After this reverse the home side pressed strongly, and succeeded in getting the equalising goal. Hudson, in saving a highball from McLauchlan, put it in front of Walker, who banged it into the net without hesitation.

In the second half, Queen's Park broke down badly. Move for some time play was of the end-to-end order. R. M. Morton shot over the bar after Queen's right wing had forced a corner. Then Jamieson put Aberdeen on the lead with a beautiful shot. Another of the A. L. IP Morton's speedie runs was witnessed, and the ball was placed at the foot of Keith, but the inside right lifted the ball over the bar, although he was in a splendid position. After tricky work by W. Wylie, Walker obtained a third point for Aberdeen. Maine from a cross by W. Wyllie gave Aberdeen a fourth goal, and the fifth was score by Jamieson just before the finish.
