Hibernian 1 - 6 Aberdeen

Scottish Premier Reserve League
Aberdeen scorers: Sullivan, Harper, Harper, Harper, Harper, Harper.

18/08/1979 | KO: 15:00

After beating Hibernian Reserves at Easter Road by six goals to one, we followed up by beating Dundee United Reserves by two goals to nil.
The game at Easter Road was a personal triumph for Joe Harper. I'd like to dwell on Joe's goals for this was finishing at it's best. The "wee man" gave a lesson to the young players playing with him and also a lesson to the young Hibs defenders. Joe has the ability to get into the right position at the right time, he gives himself room and time, plus the fact he has a look to see where the goalkeeper has positioned himself. As one young player remarked, "Joe is great to play with, he is easy to find with the ball and always encourages you".
