Cowdenbeath 0 - 2 Aberdeen

Scottish Reserve League East
Aberdeen scorers: Grant, Edwards.

18/01/1988 | KO: 19:30

Dons' third team played at Cowdenbeath in the East Reserve League and won 2-0. That side included three players who were seeking to complete their recovery from injury in Keith Edwards, Brian Grant and Neil Simpson. Since the goals came from Edwards and Grant it was a clear indication that they were over their most recent fitness problems.
Again the match was played on a hard, frosty pitch but Dons overcame the conditions extremely well. The victory put them in second position in the League, a fine overall performance considering they play against mostly older, more mature teams and always away from home.
