East Fife 2 - 0 Aberdeen

Scottish Reserve League East

17/08/1987 | KO: 19:00

The third team were beaten 2-0 at East Fife by a far stronger and more experienced side, a state of affairs which has to be accepted from time to time as they take on more mature teams. 'It's a feather in the cap for some of these clubs to beat an Aberdeen team and at the same time it is good experience for our lads, many of whom are very young,' he added. Goalkeeper Michael Watt played extremely well despite the two goals against. Greg Watson and Alan Selbie also gave sound contributions.
