Reserves Display Finer Touches

ABERDEEN'S reserve team revelled in the mud at Bayview Park on Saturday, and their superiority in all departments enabled them to finish good winners.

From the start they revealed finer touches and better ball control, and an early East Fife goal was quickly discounted. Resuming, Aberdeen rattled on three goals in ten minutes. The marksmen were Bonthrone and Aitken for East Fife, and McIntyre (3) and Glen and Baikie for Aberdeen.
Thomson took chief credit for East Fife's impotence as an attacking force, while Watson brought the winners safely through their most exacting periods. Bruce and Baikie serviced effectively two dashing wingers, of whom Millar was most prominent.
McIntyre was ably supported by two grand purveyors in Glen and Stenhouse. East Fife's methods were slow and cumbersome in contrast.
