Aberdeen 4 - 1 Leith Athletic

Scottish League 'C' Division
Aberdeen scorers: Hather, Baird, Baird (Pen), Cameron.

20/09/1952 | KO: 15:00

LIVELY GAME AGAINST LEITH.

The match at Pittodrie turned out to be quite interesting with the Athletic from Leith serving up some quite good football. They certainly caused the Young Dons to sit up and take notice by scoring first but the home players eventually took command and only superb goalkeeping by the Leith keeper kept the score down to 4-1. Young Cameron's goal was in the nature of a freak for his "free" flashed between the legs of a defender to enter the net via the post, the goalkeeper being completely unsighted.
