Unlucky! That just about sums up what happened to the Reserve side when they went to take on Dundee United at Tan¬nadice and ended with a 1-1 draw.
Second string boss Teddy Scott said: 'We didn't have as much experience as they did and that is what caught us out in the end. John McGachie gave us the lead and on a couple of other occasions got himself off-side through inexperience when he could have had good scoring chances.'
The game was played in terrible_ condi¬tions with the wind lashing heavy rain across the park. And to add to that there were a string of controversial refereeing decisions.
The Dons had to re-arrange their side in the second-half when Tom Mcintyre came off injured and when United scored Aberdeen had cause for complaint. Teddy said: 'Willie Falconer was down injured and we couldn't get on to treat him so really we were a man short at the time.'
The best Aberdeen players in the match were Bryan Gunn, Willie Falconer, Brian Mitchell, john Hewitt and Andy Watson.
