Aberdeen 'A' Just Win At Buckie

In a keenly-contested game at Buckie last night, Aberdeen A " beat Buckie Thistle in an Aberdeenshire and District League game by 3 goals to 2. Aberdeen kicked off on a wet pitch, and rain fell during the first half. Buckie were the first to press, and forced a corner. Love made a raid, but was promptly held up. Both goals were visited in turn, and McFarlane was robbed when going through. Blackwell saved a fine header from Murray, and later Love shot close past. Buckie had more of the game than the visitors, who were rather weak at the goalmouth. There was no scoring in the first half.
Aberdeen resumed with vigour with the wind advantage, and Ritchie shot close past. From a free kick, McHale shot over. After good play by Kay, Blackwell saved from McIntosh, but Gowie scored before he could recover. Buchan made an unfortunate slip, allowing McFarlane to go through and equalise. Buckie again played up well, and, after a smart save from Nicol, Gowie headed past Blackwell. Aberdeen immediately replied with a goal from Love. About five minutes from time Yorston got through and scored a smart goal, which proved be the winning one. Buckie were unfortunate to be beaten, the game being really worth draw.
