Aberdeen 'A' Triumph At Elgin

In an Aberdeen and District League match at Burroughbriggs, Elgin, Aberdeen "A" defeated the home team by four goals to nothing. Elgin were first to be dangerous, Blackwell having to hold a header from Cowie. Later Blackwell was again called into action and saved from Esslemont. Elgin missed a good opportunity of opening the scoring, when Cowie missed from close range. Aberdeen "A"' came away, and Lawson almost counted with a header. The homesters forced a corner, but nothing resulted. McFarlane put the visitors on the lead after 25 minutes play. Aberdeen continued to press, and the home supporters had an anxious time. On the resumption Blackwell had to save from Lamb. With ten minutes gone Aberdeen were two up, Robertson scoring with a hard drive. Later Lobban was again beat by McFarlane from the penalty line. Blackwell was in the limelight when he tackled Esslemont in the act of shooting. Before the finish Spencer added a fourth for Aberdeen.
