Reserves' Clever Display

The Aberdeen reserve team gave what was its best display of the season at Edinburgh on Saturday, when Hearts A were beaten under Scottish Alliance auspices by 3 goals to 1. The result was the more surprising because Hearts " A are the leaders in the competition. In both periods of the game the Aberdeen side was much superior, and indeed, at one time held a lead of 3-0. All divisions of the team worked finely together, and the forwards played with what has often been absent this season. In first half, Moir scored two lovely goals, and in the second period, Guyan, the Banks O' Dee leader got through to act in brilliant style. It was only near the end of the game that Tait counted for Hearts. All the Pittodrie players gave a splendid account of themselves. The defence was really never in difficulties, and the forwards were fast, nippy, and accurate. Fisher, Guyan, and Moir being outstaning.
