In an Alliance game at Pittodrie, Celtic A beat Aberdeen A by 2 goals to 0. In a wretched afternoon, the attendance was the smallest of the season, and, with the pitch in deplorable condition, it was not surprising that the play did not reach a high standard. Clancy, Celtic's new centre-forward secured from Beath, scored in each half. Aberdeen were often on the attack, but the forwards did not work smoothly together, and the Celtic defence always held them in hand.
