Playing two new backs, a centre-half-back, and an inside right from the Sheffield district, Aberdeen "A" sustained a heavy defeat under Scottish Alliance auspices at Firhill Park, Glasgow, Partick Thistle "A" beating them by 7 goals to 1. In the first half McNiven and McFarlane scored for the Thistle, who led at the interval by 2 to 0. In the second period the Aberdeen collapsed, and further goals were scored by McNiven (2), Armstrong, Salisbury, and Ballantyne. Bainbridge got Aberdeen's solitary goal. The only Aberdeen players to play to form were McBoyle, Robertson and MacLachlan.
