GRAND GOAL BY ARMSTRONG

Aberdeen were never in any difficulty against Fraserburgh at Pittodrie on Saturday and beat the Highland League champions by seven goals to nil in the second of the home-and-home games in the qualifying round of the Dewar Shield competition.
The Dons started with one goal in hand, having previously defeated Fraserburgh 1-0 at Bellslea Park. But they found their visitors nothing like the opposition they were at Bellslea Park.
There they had been distinctly unlucky not to draw least. On Saturday, however. Aberdeen scored at will. The Fraserburgh side were stuffy lot but they were helpless against an Aberdeen attack which combined well, and showed more thrust than of late.
Aberdeen were in the lead in fifteen minutes, J. Duthie deflecting a shot by Armstrong past his namesake in the Fraserburgh goal.
Fraserburgh were seen in isolated raids on the home goal, but tendency to play too closely proved fatal. Their ventures in attack were kept in check by the quick marking of the home halves.
Two minutes from the interval Armstrong scored a great goal for Aberdeen. Duthie. the Fraserburgh 'keeper, sent goal kick straight to the home centre who took the ball first time to send it into an untenanted goal from thirty-five yards out.

SCORING BOUT

In the second half the Dons ran riot. George Scott started scoring bout five minutes after the restart. McKenzie then added Aberdeen's fourth, and after a prolonged spell of pressure George Scott scored again.
A minute later Strauss scored Aberdeen's sixth, and the seventh came just on time from great shot by Armstrong.
