A healthy crowd of 10,000 was in attendance at Pittodrie for this glamour pre-season friendly in which the Dons played reasonably well. The only goal for the home team came via Dean Windass after the former Hull man took advantage of a slip by Tim Sherwood to steer the ball home. Aberdeen used four subs with Derek Young, Darren Young, Shearer & Dodds on for Miller, Jess, Newell & Windass.
