Young Dons break Hearts

The Young Dons took only 90 seconds to find the net at the Chris Anderson Stadium this afternoon, Kevin Souter firing home Scott Morrison's cutback. That proved to be the only strike of an open first half but the goals flowed freely in the second period. With forty eight minutes gone Scott Muirhead rounded the Hearts keeper to put the Dons two up but the Tynecastle babes came back into things a minute later courtesy of a superb McGowan header.

A clever chip from Alan Carella restored Aberdeen's two goal advantage after 77 minutes then the same player netted the goal of the game after great leading up work by man of the match Souter(pictured). The mini Jambos netted a last minute penalty but it proved simply a consolation, Drew Jarvie's kids fully deserving their win.
