It was a disappointment to all Dons' supporters when Falkirk scored that equaliser so late in the game - to rob the Dons of a point. However, it has to be admitted that the "Bairns" deserved their partial success. They were more direct than the Dons and narrowly missed with several efforts in the first half. With some reason they might have complained that a penalty should have been awarded before half-time - but this was "balanced out" after the interval when they scored as the result of a very "soft" foul given against Archie Glen. The pitch was hard and treacherous below a thin coating of snow - but the players did not spare themselves and the game never lost interest. A draw was just about the correct result.
