Motherwell 1 - 3 Aberdeen

The victory last week at Fir Park was very satisfactory, for the Dons were clearly superior. Yet it was one of those games where Aberdeen might easily have come away pointless - for in the second half, it seemed that the Motherwell goal could not be penetrated. Time after time, the Dons swept upfield, only to find their luck was dead out - and it would have been just in the nature of things for the home side to snatch two quick goals and the points!! However, a Hather goal towards the end of the game settled the issue in favour of the side that had played the better football throughout.
