Aberdeen’s reserve side improved on the previous week’s performance by winning 3-1 against Falkirk "A" at Brockville. This win practically assures the young Dons of a place in the match-play stages of the “C” Division League Cup, of which they are the holders.
They wasted chances in the first half, but later on Smith and Kelly, the inside forwards, took advantage of the promoting of Pearson and Baird and shared the goals between them. Smith got the first two and Kelly scored late on after Wilson had reduced the leeway from a penalty.
Morrison, Glen and Wallace were best in the visitors' defence.
