Stenhouse Was Shooting Star At Bayview

EAST FIFE colts will want to forget their humbling experience in this extraordinary game, marked by a sensational scoring burst in which Stenhouse played the leading role.

The first half was contested at a fast pace, with territorial honours evenly divided.
Aberdeen's defence survived some stiff pressure before being allowed to settle down, and then it was the home side who were fortunate in keeping their goal intact.
On four occasions only the timely intervention of a defender averted a score, with Fasson otherwise well beaten.
With five minutes gone of the second session. Curran did well to parry a terrific shot from Aitken.
A minute later Stenhouse cleverly outwitted the home defence to score. The inside right collected two more goals in quick succession, his hat-trick being attained in five minutes.
A minute later Pearson had a fourth goal, while three minutes later Aitken replied with a counter for East Fife.

Stenhouse Again

Stenhouse, however, immediately restored the Young Dons' four-goal margin.
Rodger registered a sixth in the sixty-sixth minute and Pearson the seventh a few minutes later.
Aitken finished the orgy of scoring with a second goal for East Fife in the seventy-seventh minute.
Aberdeen owed much to Pearson, their veteran winger, who radiated confidence and inspiration.
Aitken and Matthew were outstanding in a well-beaten East Fife side.
