Young Dons Rallied: But Too Late

THE Young Dons just failed to save a point in their last home Reserve League game at Pittodrie yesterday when they were beaten 3-2 by Hearts "A."

They were not seen at their best till the last ten minutes after they got their second goal. They staged an all-out assault on the Hearts goal.
Up till then they played at half-throttle, and the visitors, much faster and much more accurate, had them outclassed.
Incisive

In a defence that was often caught on the wrong foot by an incisive inside-forward trio, Robson, left back, came through with flying colours.
Thomson, at centre half, was not too happy against Bell, who scored his side's first two goals. Both came as a result of long up-the-middle lobs. Prentice scored the third.
It was left Massie, playing in an unfamiliar position at outside right to lead the Aberdeen revival. He scored their first goal fifteen minutes after the re-start and made the opening that led to the second when Ashe scored from a penalty.
