Not A Failure

Aberdeen "A" should have done better than force a 1-1 draw against St Mirren "A" at Love Street. Their failure to harness the breeze cost them another point.
The experiment of playing Emery at centre was by no means a failure. His anticipation was good and he kept the defence on the move.
After an early miss the centre got the Young Dons' only goal after Glen had drawn the 'keeper from his goal.
There were no weaklings in the Aberdeen defece. Curran had no chance of stopping the shot with which Reid equalised, but did well. Ashe and Merchant also took the eye.
If the Dons had had as much guile in attack as they had stability in defence they would have won easily.
