Young Dons Fail Near Goal

ABERDEEN Reserves played the better football at Shawfield Park, but tneir forwards were weak in front of goal - so much so that the home 'keeper was seldom called on to deal with a direct shot.
Clyde, on the other hand, went straight for goal, and were rewarded when Gourlay scored in the second half - a point which Aberdeen hotly disputed, alleging the player was offside.
McVean was the most stylish halfback afield, and was unfortunate to be injured in the second half. Other Dons who distinguished themselves in defence were Cooper, Bruce and Roy.
Most of the danger from the attack developed on the right, where Kiddie found a grand partner in Glen.
