Hamilton Gets Five For Aberdeen

HAMILTON, the Dons' international inside right, gave a bright display as leader of the Aberdeen attack against Buckie Thistle at Victoria Park last night and scored five of his team's goals. Aberdeen won 6-1.

Buckie gave more than they received in the opening stages and a little more steadiness in front of goal would have enabled Johnston to open their account.
Rather against the run of play the Dons took the lead in seven minutes following a free kick, Hamilton being the scorer.
Four minutes later Hamilton made it two in a goalmouth scramble.
Buckie reduced the leeway after thirty minutes, Johnston making a fine opening for Cormack to score at point-blank range.
After this, with a great opening, Cormack blazed the ball over the bar. Hamilton got his hat-trick with a lovely header off a Cowie free kick.
Three minutes after the restart Hamilton broke through and his shot was deflected into the net by Simpson.
Training was beginning to tell and the Dons were taking command. Jamieson added No. 5 off a Botha cross. Aberdeen then settled down do pretty much as they liked, and Hamilton made the total six with a nice drive.
