Typical Goal By Baird

A typical Baird goalwith his head two minutes from the end enabled the Young Dons, at Pittodrie on Saturday, to qualify to meet Rangers "A" at Ibrox in the fourth round of the Scottish Sexon XI Cup.

Clyde put up a stout resistance, but the Aberdeen reserves deserved their win. Most of the thrills were reserves for the last quarter of an hour.
The home team were well served at half-back, whre McVean gave a grand display. He forced the play in fine style. Preston, at left back, had an easy deceiving style and tackled and kicked well.
Baird, who was making his first appearance since New Year's Day, came successfully through the test. The most accomplished forward in the field, he showed signs of the form he displayed before his kneee operation.
Botha, on the right wing, was always a source of danger and he netted the opening goal off a free kick by Preston fifteen minutes after the start of the second half.
Clyde's counter came from Riley, their most dangerous forward.
