Scottish Reserve League
Heart of Midlothian scorers: Smith, Wardhaugh, Cox
Aberdeen scorers: Carroll.

Young Dons Fail

Hearts' Reserves, worthy leaders in the Reserve League, deserved the points at Tynecastle, where the Young Dons lost 3-1.
Peter Carrol, the Bancks o' Dee leader, who was on trial for the Dons, scored a fine goal, but otherwise suffered from lack of support. The brightest forward was Spalding, who got over many fine crosses.
Smith, Wardhaugh and Cox got the goals for the winners. The Aberdeen defence couldn't be blamed for the reverse. Watson was a sound 'keeper, and McKenzie, McVean and Waddell also did well.
