Aberdeen Reserves Fail To Impress

But for the fact that Taylor missed a penaltv three minutes from time the Moray Firth team would have earned a draw in this Dewar Shield qualifying match at Pittodrie.
Play seldom rose to a high standard, and throughout the defenders held the mastery.
Both goals scored in the opening half were the result of a defender putting through his own goal, and twenty-five minutes after the interval Walker scored the winner for the Young Dons.
An unimpressive home team was best served by Kelly, Cooper, and McKenzie, while Buckie's stars were Findlay, Leask and Simpson.
