Rangers Colts Sparkle

Nippy Forwards Give Young Dons Busy Time.

no one could grudge Bangers "A" the Alliance League points at Pittodrie. The Light Blues were the better-balanced side all through, and though Aberdeen "A," with three local juniors doing duty, played with spirit, they never looked like saving the game.

It took the Ibrox colts nearly forty minutes to open their account, Kinnear giving Westland no chance with a rising shot which struck the woodwork on its way to the net. Within a minute Craig was given a perfect pass and scored in easy fashion.
A stubborn home defence kept the clever Rangers out until the end was in sight. Kinnear's shot which brought the visitors' third goal was again of the unsavable order.

Plucky Defence.

The home defence deserve praise for a plucky display against the cleverest Alliance attack seen at Pittodrie this season. Westland was in brilliant form in goal, and O'Reilly and Craigen worked like Trojans.
In the home mid-line Killah, Banks Dee, and Ritchie did good work. Taylor, of Hall, Russell's, made a bright start, but tapered off somewhat. Mackie, his clubmate, put in a lot of useful work at inside right, and Adam had bad luck once or twice.
Rangers were sound from goal out. In a sparkling forward line, McAulay, Brownie and Latif, an Egyptian student were ever prominent.
