Juniors Show Up Well

East End Player Nets Twice.

ALLIANCE FIXTURE AT ' PITTODRIE.

In their Alliance match with Queen's Park Strollers at Pittodrie Park yesterday afternoon, Aberdeen "A" had four juniors on trial, and all came out of the game with credit.

Queen's Park were the first to score through W. Kinghorn, who was a tower of strength to his side during the entire first half. This first goal of his was a beauty. After this reverse the young Dons pressed hard, and Adam sent over a long cross. Smith fastened on and gave Johnston no chance. After this Mutch was in evidence, but the 'keeper was on the spot to save his parting shot.

End-to-end play ensued, and in an Aberdeen raid Smith put his side ahead. He gained possession and ran on to beat all-comers.

First Timer.

Just on half-time Mutch put the Dons further ahead with a well-taken first-time drive.
On resuming, Aberdeen pressed hard, but the visiting defence was giving nothing away. Subsequently the Dons got a fourth through Allan, whose shot cannoned into the net off a defender. The game slowed a bit at this stage, and Kinghorn was able to reduce the leeway. Just before the final whistle McLaren brought the homesters' total to five.

Juniors Do Well.

Brand (Hall, Russell's) was well watched throughout the game by A. McCartney, who is a towering centre-half, with the result that the much smaller centre was only able to show his worth when the ball was low.
Ritchie Smith (East End) played a great game, as did his partner Mutch (Banks o' Dee). Allan (Mugiemoss) had many scintillating runs on the right wing. On the whole the game was quite an interesting one.
