Aberdeen Centre Forward Scores Six Goals At Shielfield

FIRST-RATE opportunism by Ian Rodger, the Aberdeen reserve leader, brought him six of his team's seven goals at Berwick on Saturday. This was the Pittodrie reserves' brightest display of the season, and they thoroughly deserved to win.
Rodger got most of his chances as a result of the understanding between Archie Baird and Tommy Pearson on the left wing. Their quick inter-changing often had the home defence baffled.
Stalwarts in the Aberdeen defence were Watson, Shaw and Thomson, while Samuels added to his growing reputation. He also had the side's seventh goal.
