Great Goal by Grant
Aberdeen "A" had a good win over Dundee Hibs yesterday at Tannadice Park, Dundee, in an Eastern League fixture. Although a stiff fight was put up by Hibs, Aberdeen were value for their win of 2 goals to 1. Hibs got two opportunities to score from penalties, but only one was successful. Aberdeen opened the scoring with a well-timed shot from Connon, whose forceful methods were a constant danger to the Hibs' defence. In the second half Grant frequently tested Baillie who cleared with difficulty, but a minute later be found the net with a brilliant shot from the wing. A penalty gave Hibs their goal and they played hard to the end to equalise but failed and victory went to the more deserving side..Source: Aberdeen Daily Journal 10th April 1923
