Record Lost At Beith

Young Dons' Hard Luck.

HOME DEFENCE IN FORM.

The young Dons record has been broken at last. They were unfortunate to drop both points at Beith, for though the homesters had slightly the better of the first half, the young Dons made all the running in the second.

Beith's forwards were always dangerous. The first half, though unproductive in goals, was full of thrills and both goalkeepers were called upon to make brilliant saves. It was unfortunate that Adam sent over when he had an open goal in front of him. Had the visitors scored then it might have made a difference to the result.

Determined Attack.

Aberdeen opened the second half with a determined attack and Armstrong banged the ball against the bar with Blyth beaten and then Thomson scraped the bar with a long drive.
At the other end Cumming had to save a hot shot from Banks. The Aberdeen attack fell away, and from a breakaway Beith got a corner from which Morrison headed well taken goal. This was much against the run of play.
With six minutes to go Robertson headed the homesters' second. In the closing stages Aberdeen applied strong pressure but were baulked at every turn, and for the first time this season were unable to open their account.
