Hamilton 4 - 1 Aberdeen

HT Score: Hamilton 4 - 0 Aberdeen

Div 1 (Old)
Hamilton scorers: Paterson, Graham, Kyle, Kelly
Aberdeen scorers: Paton.

17/03/1917 | KO:

Despite the fact that the Hamilton Academicals had to rearrange, they practically ran around Aberdeen during the initial portion of the game at Hamilton, and scored four goals, through Paterson, Graham, Kyle, and Kelly. When Paton scored for Aberdeen after resarting, there was a promise of improvement, but it did not mature, and the Academicals were frequently aggressors. Anderson, the Aberdeen goalkeeper, repeatedly saved the situation with clever saves. There was an attendance of about 3000.

Aberdeen in their game at Hamilton hat Hume at back, Cail at centre-half, and Ambler and Main forward. They were four goals down at the interval, but they did better in the second half, when Paton managed to score for them. Celtic visit Pittodrie on Saturday and may find the wooden spoonists a much harder nut to crack than their respective positions on the table indicate. Aberdeen have given the couponeers many a bad turn.
