Stenhouse The Inspiration

ABERDEEN'S reserve inside left, Jimmy McIntyre, is blossoming into a useful centre forward. He had a big say in the Young Dons' 5-4 win against Dunfermline Athletic "A" at Pittodrie on Saturday.

Always a source of menace, McIntyre was strong and forceful in the middle. His three goals were well taken. Millar, who had some fine individual runs on the left wing, got the other two goals, one of them from a penalty.
The outstanding player in the Aberdeen attack, however, was Jimmy Stenhouse. He was a tireless worker throughout and an inspiration to his colleagues, particularly during the second half, when Aberdeen two goals down at the interval, staged a magnificent recovery. He and Kiddie figured in some of the most entertaining moves of the match.
Head and shoulders above his colleagues in defence was Kenny Thomson. He did a good deal of covering up for his team mates.
Aberdeen's 'keeper was Fred Reid (Hall and Co.). He had a shaky first half but recovered after the interval.
Dunfermline's goals came from Bain (2), Dunlop and McKay.
