Cowdenbeath 0 - 0 Aberdeen

HT Score: Cowdenbeath 0 - 0 Aberdeen

Northern League

24/09/1904 | KO:

In dull weather, but before a good turnout of spectators, these teams met at Cowdenbeath. Teams:- Cowdenbeath: Thomson; Robertson, Suttie; W. Robertson, Brown, Edmonds; Gildea, Mercer, Rattray, McMahon, Horne.
Aberdeen A: Barrett; Willox, Low; Thomson, Robertson, Mackie; Brown, Newman, Cruickshank, Shiach.

Aberdeen started uphill, and were the first to become dangerous, a corner being forced, which, however, proved fruitless. The home men afterwards seemed to get settled, and Horne and McMahon had a good run down the left. The former squared nicely, and Gildea fixing on hard, had a lovely try. Play was fast, and the Fifers were showing up to perfection. Gildea again got away, but on this occasion his parting shot went over the bar. For some time the play was very evenly contested after this, neither showing the same dash as they started with, and play ranging about midfield.

In the second half both teams strove hard to get the lead, but although there were anxious moments at both goals, there was no further scoring.
