St Mirren 3 - 0 Aberdeen

Scottish Reserve League
St Mirren scorers: Gore, Gillies, Hunter

11/01/1947 | KO:

Young Dons Whacked

Aberdeen Reserves were completely outplayed at Love Street, and with better marksmanship the homesters would have won more easily. The only Aberdeen players to come out of the game with credit were McVean, right-half, and Botha, outside-right.
Preston, the other South African, had an unfortunate day. He gave away two penalties, one of which was converted by Gore. St Mirren's other marksmen were Gillies and Hunter.
The Aberdeen forwards were too light to cope with the heavy Paisley defence.
